For those not familiar, the Nespresso series Swiss Army Knives from Victorinox are not just a brand collaboration between two companies- the actual Aluminum Oxide (aka ALOX) handle scales of this knife are actually made from recycled aluminum Nespresso Capsules from their single cup makers. As we all know by now, these single cup coffee machines produce an awful lot of waste, and so it is much better to see them recycled into something useful. You can read more about it at SAKWiki.com.
It's at least a very cool project- after all, a Swiss Army Knife is one of the best long term, useful investments you can make, and it will serve your great grandchildren just as well as it does you.
This particular knife is the Pioneer, the civilian version of the knife that has been issued to the Swiss Army (and other militaries) between 1961 and 2007, so it has proven itself to be a solid and proven design many, many times over.
And, the best part is, we are giving it away!
Every month as part of our Donation Draw series we find a new knife, tool or gear item to raffle off to members for supporting our website. The funds are used for everything that you see here- the tool reviews, the Wikis (both SAKWiki and the Multitool Encyclopedia), the Gallery, the Forum.... and even more, as we always have extra cool stuff going on behind the scenes!
Speaking of the forum, you can find all of the information you need on how to win this knife on the forum.
